  2. How can I maximize my marketing efforts using HealthArticlesNow.com?

Increase traffic to your web site by using the articles as a health library. We recommend that you:

    • Develop a title for your health library. Examples might include Health Connection, For Your Health, or just "St. John Hospital's" Health Library.
    • Have your web designer develop a logo to be used as a menu bar button on your web site. Put it on your home page so that consumers can gain immediate access to the library. Be sure to use the logo when you advertise your health library service.

    Promote staff and physician expertise.

Many of the articles in our library include quotations designed to promote your staff and physicians as experts in their field. All you need to do is insert the health professional's name where indicated. You may add quotes to articles that do not have them or simply add a by-line (i.e., written by "staff member name" or "physician name").

Be sure to include a call to action at the end of each article that includes the name(s) and phone number(s) of physicians or hospital staff. Examples: For more information, contact [name] at [phone number]. To schedule an appointment, call [phone number].

If you have an on-line physician directory, provide a direct link from physician information to articles "written by" or related to the services s/he provides.

    Organize a "Positive Press Campaign".

Develop a schedule for submitting articles to local media. The health calendar on our web site will serve as a resource. This is a great way to get free press coverage.

Here are some suggestions to get you started:

    • January 1 - 7 is New Year's Resolution Week. This week, or the week prior, send the article entitled "RESOLUTIONS FOR A HEALTHIER NEW YEAR".
    • February is American Heart Month. Send articles related to heart disease such as "HEART ATTACK: DELAYING TREATMENT COULD BE DEADLY".
    • March is National Nutrition Month. Submit articles such as "UNDERSTANDING FOOD LABELS" and "WHAT FOLATE CAN DO FOR YOU".
    • Invite the media to come on-site to interview your staff and physicians to get additional information.

    Enhance Your Newsletter

HealthArticlesNow.com articles are ideal for internal as well as consumer print or electronic newsletters. Feature an article "written by" a local physician in each issue of your consumer newsletter. Include a photo of the physician and information on how to contact her/him to make an appointment.
